You will venture around the island until you get to the Waterfall where you park and everyone can enjoy a swim and quick cool off before its time to head off to a mini golf course for a few putts. The tour also offers many great photo opportunities at each of the stops so don’t forget to take your camera or go pro. Those looking to take on the challenge, we recommend to take a towel and a spare change of clothes as it can get quite dirty and muddy especially on rainy days. The tour include a delicious hearty lunch and a complimentary drink and refreshaments.

  • Anatakitaki Cave Tour - See the unique Kopeka Bird
    The Anatakitaki Caves are regarded by environmentalists as a national treause. A walk through the dense tropical jungle covering the Makatea coastline leads to Anatakitaki Cave - a must-see when in Atiu. There you will also enjoy a breathtaking view of the stalagmites, stalactites and a high natural cathedral ceiling above. The cave also provide a home to one of the rare native birds, the Kopeka. This tiny bird nests deep in the limestone caverns and just like a bat navigates its way through the dark using sonar.
  • Tumunu Tour
    Atiu Tumunu Tour is a two-century old tradition where the local men gather at their village clubs to enjoy several rounds of a fruit based alcoholic local brew and discuss their day. At the Tumunu everyone is seated in a circle surrounding the barman. The barman then serves the brew clockwise out of a small coconut shell - smaller than the volume of a wine glass. The Tumunu Tour is a great way to meet the locals and sample the local beverage and local music. Learn about the history of this tradition.
  • ​Island Discovery Tour of Atiu with light lunch
    The Island Discovery Tour is a 3.5 hour guided tour that takes you on a journey to discover the remarkable history and unsurpassed beauty of this little peaceful paradise. Your tour begins with a drive through the main village and town area of Areora. You are shown the small business district, government buildings, local churches and schools, as well as the Ngamaru Ariki (Chiefs) palace and special landmarks. Each stop has a fascinating history which your tour guides will share with you along the way.
