BlueSun Travel's story began in August 2004, with a focus on promoting specialist tourism experiences in Western Australia's spectacular Kimberley region.
Originally operating as BlueSun2, the business began by marketing and booking a single Kimberley vessel, Oceaneer. Its success led to relationships with other charter boat operators and cruise companies, transforming a small specialist operation into a growing marine tourism business.
As our experience and industry relationships developed, so did our business. We expanded into Kimberley expedition cruising, international ocean and river cruises, luxury travel and worldwide holidays.
Today, BlueSun Travel combines the services of a full-service travel agency with a network of specialist travel websites, including BlueSun Cruises, BlueSun2 Boat Charters, Kimberley Boat Cruises, Antarctica Boat Cruises, Galapagos Boat Cruises, and Best Sri Lanka Holidays.
Although our destinations and services have expanded considerably, our philosophy remains unchanged: understand the traveller, know the product and provide genuine personal service.
BlueSun Travel was founded by Kevin Bailey, a travel industry professional with more than 35 years of experience in tourism, travel sales and specialist travel marketing.
With a background in journalism and a long-standing interest in exploring destinations, Kevin has built BlueSun Travel around a simple principle: good travel advice comes from experience, research and understanding what customers really want from their holidays.
His experience spans Australian tourism, ocean and expedition cruising, international travel and the development of specialist destination websites. He is also the writer behind The Walking Critic, a travel publication sharing destination experiences, observations and practical travel advice.
Under Kevin's direction, BlueSun Travel has developed from a specialist Kimberley tourism business into an Australian travel agency serving customers across the country and the world.
