If you're planning on a holiday to Vietnam, then knowing the average Vietnam Annual Rainfall & Temperatures is vital, before you buy your tickets.

Where you plan to go is equally important: it is nearly 1700 kilometres between Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. This is also reflected in the varying temperatures, sun hours and humidity, between these two landmark Vietnamese citiest.

When is the Best Time to Visit Vietnam

As a rule of thumb, the best time to visit Vietnam is during the equivalent Australian Autumn and Spring months. These are:

Autumn:  March and April

Spring:  September to December

In reality, there are few reasons to be held back from travelling to Vietnam, because of weather patterns. There will always be sunshine and rain in varying amounts, every month. And it is consistenly warm and humid.

Vietnam also has a coastline stretching 2500 kms, as well as three distinct weather systems.  You would not be wrong to view this country like three seperate locations: North, Central and South Vietnam.
