Starting 1 July, 2024 the cost of renewing Aussie Passorts to increase 15%. This means an adult passport will now cost $398. As such, now it the time to check your passports to see if they are nearing expiry!
To accommodate urgent needs, a new fast track processing service will be introduced from 1 July. This will be offered alongside the existing priority service. As such, it is a great option, especially for travellers wanting greater certainty around when they will receive their passport and who don’t need a two-day turnaround. The renewal service now includes the following two options:
Fast Track service: This new service guarantees the passport application is processed within 5 business days of a complete passport application being received. It will cost an extra $100 on top of the regular passport application fee.
Priority service: This existing service guarantees passport processing within 2 business days of a complete passport application being received. It will cost an extra $290 on top of the regular passport application fee.
